As spring approaches in New Hampshire, the days get longer, temperatures rise and buckets and tubing appear on the roadsides to herald the start of maple sugar season. To celebrate this annual event, the Rosewood Country Inn and area maple sugar houses are offering a Currier & Ives Maple Sugar Weekend March 21-23. This quintessential New Hampshire inn - is offering a weekend getaway amidst a backdrop that's right out of a Currier & Ives scene. The two night package includes a mapped, self-guided tour of neighboring sugar houses where guests can see maple syrup made the old-fashioned way, and learn the history of the time honored tradition from the Native Americans to the present. The guide also includes suggestions for antiquing and tax-free shopping, and areas for snow shoeing and cross country skiing. After a day of touring, guests can treat themselves to complimentary late afternoon hearty hors d'oeuvres at the Inn before going out to one of the local eateries for dinner.

Cascade Basin Is Open!
A big THANK YOU goes out to the hard work of our Snowmaking Team and kuddos to Mother Nature for helping them out! We received a total of 17" of snow from the latest storms! Our Snowmaking Team has been working around the clock to open more terrain as quicly as possible. Our Grooming Team has also been out there working hard.
Today we welcome to the Pats Peak Family - Cascade Basin! This completely new area on the "backside" of the main mountain with a triple chairlift servicing 4 trails and 1 gladed area. We appreciate all the efforts of our Mountain Operations Team to make this happen!

First lift riders on the Cascade Basin Triple Chair were Bertie Holland, Pats Peak Snowsports Director and her husband Peter Holland, a Pats Peak Ski Instructor. The third seat was filled by Tyler Couture, a Pats Peak Park Ranger.

HARVEST HOME THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

How proud of a heritage that encourages us to appreciate the harvest, and share its bounty. Join us as we make tradition an honored guest. Thanksgiving at the Rosewood offers a chance for far-flung families to meet, and those without, to make new friends. Join us during this special time and let our home be your home this holiday! This four night package is chock full of things to do! Arrive on Wednesday in plenty of time to rest up for the days ahead.
The Harvest Home Thanksgiving package is for travel November 27 to December 1, 2013 and includes the following:
Wednesday, November 27: Arrival
Thursday, November 28: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast but save room for that glorious turkey dinner with all the fixin's at the Millstone Restaurant ($75 gift certificate for dinner).Friday, November 29: Awake to a full gourmet breakfast served before a crackling fireplace, then it's time to go off for a full day of "tax-free" shopping. There are church fairs, bazaars, and antique and country artisan's shops to explore as well as the outlets in Tilton, New Hampshire (approximately 40 minutes away). When guests return to the Inn, all that is needed to wrap their holiday gifts will be waiting (paper, ribbons, and bows) plus hot mulled cider and light hors d'oeuvres.
Saturday, November 30: After a hearty country breakfast, it's time to get the Inn dressed up in all of her holiday finery for the Christmas season ahead. We'll trim trees and put up garland. In exchange for your help, we provide a farmhouse luncheon by a cozy fire.
Sunday, December 1: Enjoy a leisurely "candlelight and crystal" breakfast while planning the final day's activities. Guests will return home with all of their holiday shopping bought and wrapped! What better way to relax and enjoy the holiday season ahead.
